Anti-Discrimination Policy

All connections made between Riders and Drivers within the TRYP Technologies, Inc. software application are automatic and prevent any unlawful discrimination by either party involved. TRYP Technologies, Inc. requires that Drivers act in compliance with the policies regarding Riders that require service animals, are blind or low-vision or are deaf or hard of hearing. TRYP Technologies, Inc. also requires Drivers to provide accommodations for any Rider using any transportable form of mobility assistance including walkers, canes, or folding wheelchairs.

All situations in which denial of service takes place can be communicated to the support team and will be investigated in a timely and efficient manner. Riders can use the Help Center to file a claim regarding any issues through the TRYP Technologies, Inc. software application and website.

Accessibility Compliance Notification

All Drivers are required to understand and comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations governing the transportation of Riders with disabilities. Any violation of these laws or regulations will be a violation of the TRYP Rides Terms of Use and will be investigated as such.

Service Animal Policy

Drivers employed by TRYP Technologies, Inc. are also required to abide by federal and state laws governing the provision of transportation of service animals. TRYP Technologies, Inc. prohibits any type of discrimination regarding service animal transportation.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. reserves the right to deactivate or disable any accounts that are reported as violating or potentially violating these policies and subsequent terms, pending an investigation on our behalf or the behalf of presiding governmental bodies within the corresponding jurisdiction.

Calculation Method: Prearranged Rides to Passengers

The fee calculation method used by TRYP Technologies, Inc. will be made available through the application to all Riders prior to entering any ride agreement. The total TRYP Rides fee will be calculated based on distance, time and location. In this way, all users will understand the cost of TRYP Rides’ services in an upfront and transparent manner. Riders will agree to pay the fare shown upon confirming their ride request, however, the fares will be estimates only and will not reflect variations due to route or destination changes and other applicable taxes, tolls, charges and adjustments.

Fare Calculation Statement

TRYP Technologies, Inc. is a Transportation Network Company that provides transportation services as needed. It is the first innovative distributive shared technology with a peer-to-peer payment platform that allows the Riders to pay their Driver directly.

All Drivers will be required to pay a monthly software subscription through the application ($199.00 per month full time), enabling them to earn 100% of the total travel fare, including tips, wait time and cancellations fees when they occur.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. does not have a base fee or surge charges, which means the total trip fee will be calculated and displayed in the application based on distance, time and location. The prices for the rides will also vary if the conditions of the ride change, including changes of drop off locations during the ride and adding additional Riders to the initial Rider’s individual party.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. will disclose to Riders the fare calculation method on its website and application. However, sample fares will be estimates only and will not reflect variations due to discounts, additional charges or other factors. Actual fares may vary. Riders will agree to pay the fare shown upon confirming their ride request.

No – Solicitation Policy

The Company maintains a strict no-solicitation policy regarding advertising and promotions.  No one may engage in solicitation activities on behalf of the Company without the Company’s written authorization.  Written authorization will not be issued unless the Company receives a specific plan including target audience, territory and materials to be used and proof of authorization (i.e. licenses and/or permits) by any applicable agency or regulatory body. Materials as defined in this Policy include, but are not limited to, audio, video and all written materials (i.e. handouts, flyers) which may be used in solicitation activities.

Inside/Interior Signage

The Driver’s profile information will be displayed in the TRYP Technologies, Inc. software application when Riders are matched with their Drivers. Driver’s profile information will include the following:

  • Name
  • Vehicle’s Model/Color
  • License Plate Number
  • Photo
  • Rating

Outside/Exterior Signage

Displays of TRYP Technologies, Inc. trade dress is not mandatory unless required by applicable laws or regulations, which shall be understood by all Drivers before provision of their services. An example is provided below:

Insurance Policy Disclosure

TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy does not cancel and/or replace the Driver’s personal auto insurance policy, therefore, all Drivers using the TRYP Rides APP are required to follow and maintain minimum state and local personal auto insurance policies. When TRYP Ride’s application is turned off, only the Driver’s personal auto insurance is liable for any damages or accidents. As soon as the application is turned on, Drivers using the TRYP Rides APP will be insured by both TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy and the Driver’s personal auto insurance policy. This applies to the periods of time in which the Driver is available to provide passenger transportation but has not accepted any requests, waiting periods between pick-ups and after passengers are dropped off.

Period 1: Driver is waiting to be a assigned a passenger

In the event of collision, death or personal injury while the Driver has not yet been assigned a Rider, TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy will provide coverage of $50,000 for death and personal injuries per person, $100,000 for death and personal injury per incident and $30,000 for property damage.

Period 2: When the driver has accepted the ride, but the passenger is not yet in the vehicle

TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy will provide coverage up to $1,000,000 in the event of collision, death or personal injury.

Period 3: When the passenger has been picked up, and until the passenger is dropped off

TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy will provide coverage up to $1,000,000 in the event of collision, death or personal injury.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy will provide coverage up to $1,000,000 in the event of collision, death or personal injury during prearranged rides; including the period when the Driver has accepted the ride but the Rider is not yet in the vehicle, when the Rider is picked up and inside the vehicle, and until the Rider is dropped off.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy does not cancel or replace the Driver’s personal auto insurance policy, therefore, all Drivers using the TRYP Rides APP are required to follow and maintain minimum state and local personal auto insurance policies. When TRYP Driver’s application is turned off, only the Driver’s personal auto insurance is liable for any damages or accidents. As soon as the application is turned on, Drivers using the TRYP Rides APP will be insured by both TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy and Driver’s personal auto insurance policy.

During waiting periods, TRYP Technologies, Inc. insurance policy will provide coverage of $50,000 for death and personal injuries per person, $100,000 for death and personal injury per incident and $30,000 for property damage; including the periods of time in which the Driver is available to provide Rider transportation but has not accepted any requests and waiting periods between pick-ups.

Drug and Alcohol Use Policy

TRYP Technologies, Inc. does not tolerate the use of drugs or alcohol by any Driver while using the TRYP Rides Driver’s application.

If any Rider believes their Driver may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they should IMMEDIATELY end the TRYP Ride, exit the car and call 911. The Rider should report any feedback directly into TRYP Ride’s application or website by selecting the Help option from the menu. Support can also be provided by emailing [email protected].

The account of any Driver found to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol while using the Driver’s application will be PERMANENTLY deactivated. TRYP Technologies, Inc. may also deactivate the account of any Driver who receives several unconfirmed complaints of drug or alcohol use.

Procedure for Reporting Drivers Under the Influence

If any passenger believes their Driver may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, they should immediately follow the steps listed below:

  • End trip by asking the Driver to stop or ending the trip through the application.
  • Exit the car.
  • Call 911 and report the Driver.

The Rider should also report any feedback directly into TRYP Technologies, Inc. application or website by selecting the Help option from the menu. Support can also be provided by emailing [email protected].

TRYP Technologies, Inc. Defined as a Transportation Network Company

According to the definition provided by the TNC Registration Act, a Transportation Network Company should meet the following requirements:

  1. Use a software application to connect a passenger to a transportation network driver;
  2. Provide transportation network services;
  3. Is neither a taxicab nor a motor carrier;
  4. Does not own, control, operate or manage the vehicle used to provide the transportation network services.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. meets all the requirements listed above to be defined as a Transportation Network Company. TRYP Technologies, Inc. will enable transportation services through a mobile application, in which the Drivers will utilize their personal qualified vehicles to provide transportation services. TRYP Ride’s application will match Riders and drivers through a location technology software. Riders will be responsible for providing the location for their pick-up and drop-off through the application; consequently, Drivers won’t be able to accept rides through the process of hailing or any arrangements other than through the mobile application. The application will also provide applicable ride information, wait times, accessibility to customer service, records of each ride, drive time and monetary cost/gain.

General Description of TRYP Technologies, Inc.

TRYP Technologies, Inc. offers several transportation services depending on the different types of needs. We cater to those who are looking for a quick ride, a ride in style, and services for disabled customers. The rides options are TRYP Rides, TRYP Rides Extra, TRYP Rides Prime and TRYP Rides Assist.

TRYP Rides seats up to 4 passengers per vehicle and is mainly used for quick commutes. TRYP Rides Extra seats 6 to 8 passengers, offering a larger vehicle for larger groups, or passengers with luggage. TRYP Rides Prime gives passengers the ability to request a qualified luxury vehicle. TRYP Rides Assist will connect to Drivers that have accessible vehicles, to ensure assistance is provided to passengers that require the service.

TRYP Rides Riders will be responsible for providing the location for their pick-up and drop off through the application. TRYP Technologies, Inc. does not have a base fee, therefore, the total TRYP Rides fee will be calculated and displayed in the application based on distance, time and location. The prices for the rides will also vary if the conditions of the ride changes, this includes changes of drop off locations during the ride and adding additional passengers to the Rider’s individual party.

Our new application allows Riders to save money because of its lower fares and no-surge-charge pricing, while also earning rewards points that are redeemable for cash on every ride taken.

Technology Use Statement

TRYP Technologies, Inc. software application, “TRYP Rides’ APP”, utilizes technology to find and track rides in real-time to provide the best service. TRYP Rides’ APP provides locations and turn-by-turn directions to facilitate easy and accurate passenger pick-ups and drop-offs. Riders can request immediate services or schedule services for a later time. All ride requests are matched with the closest available Driver.

Once requested, TRYP Rides’ APP will provide the Rider with their Driver’s name, license plate number, phone number and rating. The “Share Status” option will allow Riders to share their Driver’s and current trip information with others without downloading TRYP Rides’ APP. Riders, Drivers and other customers can provide feedback on the App at any time.

TRYP Rides Rider’s APP provides ride history, favorite Drivers, payment information, rewards/referral program, emergency contact information and support. Customers will also be able to call through the App in case of an emergency. Also, the live Personal Safety Alert System has a 24/7 connection with our office that is geo-positioned to your location.

TRYP Rides Driver’s App provides directions, tools to help Drivers earn more, and 24/7 support. The App will keep track of past rides and the status of each ride. It allows the Drivers to track their progress towards their daily and weekly goals, providing reports that show the progress in accepted TRYP Rides, total rides, total amount and total time.

For the safety of all our Drivers and Riders, time restrictions will be monitored and enforced during “on call” and driving times. TRYP Technologies, Inc. will limit the number of hours a Driver can be on call for rides to 16 hours for every 24-hour period. It will also limit the actual driving time to 12 accumulated hours for every 24-hour period. TRYP Ride’s App will deactivate Drivers for a period of at least 6 hours once either allotted time is reached.
